COVID-19 and Pueblo West Baptist Church

O our God … we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You. – II Chronicles 20:12

Here is brief explanation of how we are responding to this pandemic. We have not carved any of our understanding or decisions in stone. Pastor Tedd and the Deacons are weighing things day by day.

Since mid-March we have not held public services and that will continue until further notice.

We rejoice that the preaching of God’s Word can go on! Each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. (Mtn. time), Pastor Tedd is preaching from the pulpit via live-stream on our YouTube channel. Wednesday evenings at 6:30 Pastor Tedd continues with ‘The God of the  Bible’ – a study of the character and attributes of God.

We rejoice that texts, phone calls, notes and cards are being used to encourage one another. Sunday school teachers are encouraging their classes to continue on with their studies. The app Zoom has been used to complete a women’s Bible study.

To date we have gladly submitted to the recommendations from our government officials to not meet together. We will do so until we receive an ‘all-clear’ sign from civil authorities OR, it becomes clear this crisis is being used specifically to suppress the proclamation of the Gospel or thwart the First Amendment.
